What is Slipper

What is slipper?

A slipper or houseshoe is a semi-closed type of indoor/outdoor shoe, consisting of a sole held to the wearer's foot by a strap running over (or between) the toes or instep.Slippers are soft and
lightweight compared to other types of footwear. They are mostly made of soft or comforting materials that allow a certain level of comfort for the wearer. This can range from faux fur to leather.

Usually there are many types of slipper when we talk about that, but the slippers that I refer are ones we wear in bedrooms or in our houses.Easy to put on and take off, just to make you feel relax at home.

History of slippers

At first slippers came from east, appeared in one of inhabitant sultan harems.

Origin of slippers
At that time slippers were like a symbol of captivity, because even very freedom and constancy lovable concubine, didn’t dare to run away from harem to rocky road, in thin and from feet easy slippering, slippers.

It made people feel that they could finally take a rest after long time walking or long time working. And the very comfortable footwear also gave a chance for philosophical thoughts.I think that's the reason why then slipper wearing tradition went to medieval Europe. But something really changed, they became married friend symbol of loyalty as a symbolical meaning.

Actually also in China and Japan, they have also other types of slippers in ancient time, but they were not as comfortable as what I mentioned above, they made noises such as "tik-tok" because they were made of heavy wood.
